Plastics are divided into different grades. Generally, different symbols are printed on the bottom of the plastic container. From one to seven, each symbol represents a different specification.

PET-01

It is polyethylene terephthalate. It is often used to make bottled beverages such as mineral water and carbonated drinks. It is not suitable for hot water or heating. If the temperature is too high, it will dissolve substances that are harmful to the human body.

HDPE-02

It is high-density polyethylene. It is suitable for plastic containers for cleaning supplies and bath products. Most of the plastic bags in shopping malls are also made of this material. It is not recommended to recycle.

PVC-03

It is polyvinyl chloride, which is common in raincoats and plastic films. Plastic products made of this material are prone to produce two toxic and harmful substances: one is monomolecular vinyl chloride that has not been fully polymerized in the production process, and the other is harmful substances in plasticizers, so do not use it with heating.

LDPE-04

It is low-density polyethylene, which is the raw material for making cling film and plastic film, and its heat resistance is not strong.

PP-05

It is polypropylene, which is the only material that can be heated in a microwave oven, so it has become the raw material for making microwave lunch boxes. High temperature resistance of 130 ° C, melting point as high as 167 ° C, poor transparency, can be reused after careful cleaning.

PS-06

It is polystyrene, which is the material used to make bowls of instant noodle boxes and foamed fast food boxes. Although it is heat-resistant and cold-resistant, it will also release chemicals due to the high temperature, so don't heat the bowl of instant noodle boxes directly in the microwave!

PC and other PC-07

It is a material that is widely used, mostly used to make milk bottles, etc.
