The twin-screw extruder uses a screw in the barrel to complete the conveying, mixing and pumping when processing the material. The modularity of the barrel facilitates the individual transportation of individual units along the length of the barrel. The barrel adopts electronic heating and liquid cooling, and acts as an independent temperature control area. The original sections are combined on a high-torque shaft to optimize the screw configuration according to process requirements. Typical length-to-diameter ratio (L/D), which can be used for reactive extrusion and/or multi-stage devolatization, ranges from 32 to 48:1, with a maximum height of 60 L/D (or longer). Electrical energy is converted into mechanical energy by the transmission system (motor-gearbox), and then the material is sheared by the rotating screw.

 

   Modular barrel and segmented screw, with controlled wiping and pumping characteristics, so that people can adjust the geometric configuration of the screw and the barrel to match the requirements of the process task. Solid transportation and plasticization usually take place during this manufacturing process. Mixing, downstream feeding, liquid injection, and ventilation are all commonly used, and their principles are determined by the process. The structural configuration of the screw ranges from shear sensitive to passive shear.
